How do I find my Jaguar stereo serial number?

On a standard head unit, hold PTY and Eject together. The serial appears on the display and you need the last five digits. On a sat nav unit, take out the ash tray and photograph the plate underneath the stereo.

Where to find the serial number

Take out the ash tray, slide a phone into the gap and photograph the plate underneath. The last five digits are the ones boxed here.

A stereo locks itself every time it loses power, so this follows a flat battery or a disconnect. The code never changes for a given unit — worth writing in the service book once you have it.
