About JagBT
Two years of work to give these cars modern sound without losing anything they left the factory with.
JagBT started as a personal project. I wanted my own car to play music from my phone without losing the original stereo, the steering wheel buttons or the look of the dashboard, and I could not find anything that did all three properly.
So I tried every route first: soldering into the CD units, replacing the CD players, mounting amplifiers in the boot, even tapping into the TV feed of the screen. Each one worked, but none of them was something an ordinary owner could fit on a Saturday morning.
In the end I built a micro amplifier from scratch. At its heart sit the TDA7850 amplifier and the AC6925 audio processor, which together give clean sound and enough power to drive the factory speakers. The circuit board was designed and made by the very talented Mr Baris Sonmez, using the best parts available.
Two years of work followed, with many hours of testing in the lab and in real cars. The lab results beat my expectations, and on the road it simply worked. The aim never changed: the best possible sound, without giving up any function or any safety.
That became JagBT 2.0, for cars with the standard audio package. The Alpine premium system already has an amplifier of its own, so it needed its own unit: JagBT 3.0. And for cars with satellite navigation, JagBT Vision puts a reversing camera on the screen that is already there.
